Seafood Business for Ocean Stewardship (SeaBOS) named Austral Fisheries General Manager of Environment and Policy Martin Exel as it s new managing director.
SeaBOS was created by the Stockholm Resilience Center in 2016 by 10 prominent seafood companies operating wild-catch, aquaculture and feed facilities.
Exel has been with Australian fishing company Austral Fisheries for more than 22 years, and now focuses primarily on southern ocean operations for Patagonian toothfish, mackerel ice-fish and high-seas species.
The new position involves being the face of SeaBOS and spearheading its agenda for six months each year.
