With a 43 percent shareholding, the Mogster family has control over Leroy Seafood, according to DnB Nor Markets share analyst Klaus Hatlebrekke, but the Leroy family is resisting a takeover.
“I would imagine CEO Ole-Eirik Leroy has long since regretted buying into the Mogster chaps’ company, Austevoll Seafood,” Hatlebrekke told IntraFish. “To put it another way, I’d be very surprised if Ole-Eirik is happy with the situation.”
Leroy and his family own around 17.5 percent of the old family business. With Austevoll’s offer of NOK 59 ($9.29/€6.82)
