Surging demand from Asia is so pressing that some Chilean exporters are struggling to deliver to European customers, a Chilean executive told IntraFish.
“Demand from Asia is overwhelming. Recently we had a whole delegation of business people and authorities from China visit our premises. They represented a Chinese province, but in that province reside no less than 250 million people – and they want to eat seafood,” Gustavo Errazuriz, who heads BSG Magellan Seafood Chile, told IntraFish during the European Seafood Exposition.
