Leading Chilean salmon producer AquaChile said it managed to avoid a more serious incident after protesters started a fire at the gates of its Calbuco processing plant in the the south of the country on Tuesday night.
The fire was dealt with and there was no report of injuries, although the company did not say who extinguished the fire.
