Despite the departure of one of the pioneers of its Verlasso brand salmon, AquaChile remains committed to growing production and further developing retail and foodservice markets for its eco-friendly salmon.

Earlier this month, Scott Nichols, a director at Verlasso, AquaChile’s “harmoniously-raised” salmon brand, resigned from the company to focus on building an aquaculture consulting company.

Nichols, who will also be retiring from DuPont in November, was a bridge between DuPont and AquaChile, helping transfer DuPont's salmon-feed technology to AquaChile's salmon farming operations and eventually running the day-to-day marketing of the brand.
