Confidence is increasing among shrimp farmers in Thailand, and in general analysts are expecting a much better year ahead for the industry in 2014 compared with last year.
“We expect things to improve this year, coming from a low base last year,” Charti Phrawphraikul an analyst at Phatra Securities told IntraFish.
Early Mortality Syndrome (EMS) slammed the Thai seafood industry last year and it is still a bit early to tell whether or not it is going away in 2014.
