There's a lot of bad news in the latest round of Chilean salmon company financial results, but there's plenty of reason for hope, according to one analyst.
“On one side you have poor results and the price dropping, but on the other side you have the Norwegian price increase, thus foreseeing a brighter future for the industry,” Ignacio Spencer, food and beverages analyst for the Chilean investment bank IM Trust, told IntraFish.
The price for whole Norwegian salmon improved to $3.90 (€3) in August and is trending up; the price of Chilean salmon sits at less than $3 (€2.33)
