On the heels of the historic High Liner acquisition of Icelandic USA that capped 2011, companies large and small are kicking off 2012 with more consolidation -- American Seafoods acquired Good Harbor Fillet, American Holdco (AHI) has taken over Seatrade International Company, and frozen-at-sea Alaska harvester Ocean Peace purchasedCascade Fishing, to name a few.
With the consolidation trend in full force, mergers and acquisitions are likely to crop up even more in 2012 than they did in 2011, Glacier Securities CEO Ignacio Kleiman told IntraFish.
