Located in Grovfjord, the salmon producer Northern Lights Salmon (NLS) has sales of NOK 129 million (€16.8 million/$24 million) in 2010.
Its result before tax reached NOK 57.4 million (€7.5 million/$10.7 million) -- almost equal to the company's total result before tax from 1998 to 2009!
As a result NLS' owners, the Balteskard family, have allocated no less than NOK 28.2 million (€3.7 million/$5.3 million) in payment of dividends. That is more than four times the total dividends the company paid from 1998 to 2009.
