The European Union this week adopted a new set of autonomous tariff quotas (ATQs) for certain fishery products imported into the region for the period 2016 to 2018.

The agreement was adopted on Dec. 7, and will be in force as of Jan. 1 for three years, according to a document published in the Official Journal of the EU.

Under new revised import quota system, Alaska pollock will see a duty-free quota of 300,000 metric tons, down from 350,000 metric tons in the previous agreement.
