Ocean Peace, a frozen-at-sea Alaska harvester, has purchased one of its competitors,Cascade Fishing, which owns and operates the vessel Seafisher. Both fish out of the Aleutian Islands region of the Bering Sea, and Seafisher fishes in the Gulf of Alaska, as well.

The sale has now closed, Ocean Peace CEO Michael Faris told IntraFish on Thursday.

Seafisher has slightly more quota than that of Ocean Peace’s vessel, also named Ocean Peace. The company now plans to double its 15,000 metric tons per year production capacity.
