Norwegian krill fishing company Aker BioMarine Antarctic AS filed a patent infringement lawsuit at the end of last month in the district of Delaware against Norwegian firms Olympic Holding AS, Rimfrost AS, Emerald Fisheries AS and US-based firms Rimfrost USA, LLC, Avoca Inc. and Canadian firm Bioriginal Food & Science Corp.
Aker BioMarine alleges the defendants infringed on two of its US patents relating to "krill oil compositions and processes for making krill oil compositions having specific concentrations of phospholipids and other components that provide enhanced health benefits in humans and animals," according to court documents filed on Jan.
