A 'new' Ocean Garden is diving into retail

The new president and CEO of California-based Mexican shrimp supplier Ocean Garden Products is excited for the busy years ahead, as the company readies itself to aggressively expand in the seafood industry.

"I like to use the term, the new Ocean Garden," said new president and CEO Lance Leonard. "There's a lot of opportunity outside of just our core business," which is wild and farmed Mexican shrimp.

Leonard stepped into his new role on Jan. 20 after resigning in December as president and CEO of True Drinks, the parent company of children’s flavored water brand AquaBall.
