IntraFish recently visited Thai Union's shrimp processing plant in central Thailand. In total, the company produces 75 percent of Thailand's output. In 2016, it produced 65,000 metric tons of shrimp.
During the visit, IntraFish had the chance to see the processing lines, machinery, and work behind the scenes all the way through the packaging phase.
The plant employs around 3,100 people, it processes head on, head of shrimp, deveined and peeled product and value added, including a sushi line.
