The Icelandic seafood industry reported no impact from a volcano that erupted near the country's capital on Friday evening after weeks of seismic activity.
The volcano, which erupted at 20:45 on Friday, is located in Reykjanes Peninsula, where volcanos had been dormant for over eight centuries.
The Icelandic Meteorological Office reported lava flows as a "very local" hazard.
