Land-based salmon producer AquaBounty has raised more than anticipated to to help finance its ambitious land-based production plans.

The company on Monday announced it successfully raised $127.1 million (€105.5 million) in a share offering that was oversubscribed.

Earlier this month the company asked for $110.5 million (€92.1 million) in a new share offering to go toward the construction of a new land-based facility to grow its AquAdvantage genetically modified farmed salmon.
