Norway-based fresh, frozen and canned seafood supplier Insula says it is among those whose products have been caught up in Brexit bureacracy-related snarl-ups on the European side of the English channel delaying entry to the UK market.

"We haven't had one fresh export to the UK that hasn't been delayed," Insula COO Morten Hyldborg Jensen said in answer to an IntraFish question during a Norway Seafood Council webinar on the effects of Brexit.

This comes as Norwegian salmon producers face delays of one to four days in getting their products to the UK market as trucks become ensnared in traffic bottlenecks at cross-channel rail terminals and ports.
