A subsidiary of Japanese giant Mitsubishi since 2016, Cermaq is the world's second-largest salmon farmer.
The Norway-based company, which operates not only in its home country but also in Chile and Western Canada, had a mixed year. On top of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company saw highs, such as the launch of its closed containment operations in British Columbia, and lows, which included aborted plans in Eastern Canada.
