Brazilian tilapia producer Tilabras is aiming to double tilapia production in 2021, helped by a growing appetite for the fish in South America's largest nation.
Against the background of the coronavirus pandemic, production in 2020 is expected to come in at 5,000 metric tons but next year the company is targeting 10,000.
"This year in an atypical year we ended up not making the necessary series of investments to grow," Tilabras CEO Nicolas Landolt said during a recent webinar.
