Marius Haegh, sales director at Billund Aquaculture in Norway, expects an annual production of land-based salmon of between 200,000 - 400,000 metric tons by 2030.
"It sounds like a small number compared to all the requests we receive, but one thing is the capital needed, another thing is the capacity for construction," he said while speaking during an aquaculture seminar organized by law firm Haavind and brokerage firm Fearnley Securities.
