Chilean farmed salmon and trout exports to the United States shrugged off the effects of the global coronavirus pandemic in the first nine months of the year, posting nearly 11 percent volume growth.

Overall, salmonid exports to Chile's largest market came in at 163,906 metric tons, compared with 147,966 during the same period a year earlier. Salmon accounts for around 95 percent of the total, and trout the remainder, according to trade body SalmonChile.
