Danish feed giant BioMar is hiring Simon Wadsworth as its new global research and development (R&D) director, as the company looks to sharpen its focus in the area.

Wadsworth has more than 30 years of experience within feed and farming operations at Mowi, Cermaq, and Ewos-Cargill.

He comes from the position of global R&D manager in Cargill, leading the aquaculture R&D program.

This year BioMar broke a sustainability milestone with a five-year average fish-in-fish-out (FIFO) ratio of below 1:1, thanks to including more alternative feed ingredients and trimmings in the diets it produces for the aquaculture industry.
