A rise in Barents Sea quotas combined with decreasing demand during the coronavirus pandemic is likely to result in lower prices for Atlantic cod next year, according to industry players.
The global supply of groundfish has been hovering just over 7 million metric tons the past few years, with Atlantic cod accounting for around 16 percent and displaying a positive price development since 2013.
