Jerzy Malek-owned Arctic Seafood Group, formerly Codfarmers, is investing just over NOK 30 million (€2.7 million/$3.2 million) in a land-based cod facility in Morkved Bay outside Bodo, Norway.

The company has also entered into a strategic agreement for the delivery of juvenile cod to Norcod, which operates sea production of cod in various places in Trondelag, Norway.

Malek, best known for starting the processing company Morpol, which is today part of Mowi, is the main owner of the company.

In recent years, the company has, among other things, applied for three development permits for salmon, but has been rejected by the ministry.
