Seafood processing giant Iceland Seafood International (ISI) is working its way toward a 50/50 split between foodservice and retail after learning valuable lessons through the COVID-19 pandemic, CEO Bjarni Armannsson told IntraFish.

As part of this the group has signed contracts with major retailers in the UK market worth £18 million (€20.2 million/$24.2 million).

Although ISI already has contracts with the major UK retailers, these new deals are more focused on chilled fish and shellfish products, and this will be the first time the company is supplying breaded products to retailers in the country.
