Blafjell, a land-based Arctic char farmer, is facing liquidity issues over the coronavirus-stricken market, founder John Helge Inderdal told E24.

"The market completely stopped in connection with COVID-19," Inderdal said.

The company is currently negotiating with creditors the feasibility of continuing operations. Production at its facility has been reduced.

"We have had some technical problems with the plant, but in the new year we had found most of the faults and were ready for good operation further, but then the coronavirus hit," Inderdal said.
