Construction delays behind Atlantic Sapphire's recent premature harvest of over 200,000 of land-based raised salmon at its Miami facility are complicating the Oslo-listed firm's production process.

"We have had challenges with delayed constructions," Karl Oystein Oyehaug, Atlantic Sapphire USA managing director and finance director of the group, told the Norwegian financial daily DN.

"It does not help that the coronavirus hit extra hard in Florida, where we are feeding the fish everyday and need even bigger tanks."
