The slow-moving sale process for one of the world's largest Alaska pollock producers continues to move ahead, with a new potential buyer entering into the mix, sources told IntraFish.

Owners of Seattle-based harvester American Seafoods have entered into talks with Alaska's Bristol Bay Native Corporation (BBNC), now one of the largest holders of Pacific cod quota, according to sources.

American CEO Mikel Durham declined to comment to IntraFish on the potential deal.
