Authorities in Chile have ordered the removal of salmon from Granja Marina´s Rio Union farm following confirmation of the presence of the deadly ISA virus at the site, the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Service (Sernapesca) said.
Removal from the site in the Puyuhuapi area of the Aysen region began on Tuesday under strict biosecurity protocols. Sernapesca has not yet confirmed how many fish will have to be removed.
