Norwegian company Fishglobe, which operates a globular, partially closed-containment floating salmon farm, has transferred its first post-smolt, according to a news release from its parent company Ryfish.
Fishglobe delivered approximately 200,000 post-smolt to Grieg's cages in Rogaland, Norway, just prior to Easter, the company said.
At 3,500 cubic meters, the salmon globe is the first of its kind for Fishglobe. Salmon smolt were added to the cage last November.
