Grieg Seafood senior executives raked in fat salaries in 2019, placing them among the top earners running the world's stock-listed salmon farming companies.

CEO Andreas Kvame pocketed a total of NOK 6.6 million (€589,000/$640,000), a slight 5 percent increase compared to what he earned the year prior.

COO Knut Utheim was the second highest paid in the company, with a total of NOK 4.4 million (€393,000/$427,000), 17 percent more than he earned last year.

During Grieg's annual meeting last summer, it was decided the company could buy its own shares for use in an employee share-savings program, which aims to "encourage loyalty" within the company.
