Benchmark, an aquaculture genetics, health and advanced nutrition company, has appointed ex-SalMar boss Trond Williksen as CEO, effective in June.
Williksen stepped down as CEO of Norwegian salmon producer SalMar last April
after admitting the company's alleged links to a salmon smuggling ring in China.
Prior to his position as CEO of SalMar, he was CEO of technology and service provider AKVA for six years. He also previously held a number of senior roles in Aker ASA’s Seafoods, Ocean Harvest and BioMarine divisions.
