Top executives at land-based salmon farmer Atlantic Sapphire walked away with salaries that put them among the highest paid CEOs running the world's stock-listed seafood companies.

Atlantic Sapphire CEO Johan Andreassen pocketed $513,000 (€465,000) in salary and bonuses in 2019, despite continued losses and expenditures at the group, according to the group's annual report.

CFO Jose Prado took home the same salary as Andreassen, while COO Dharma Rajeswaran was paid $263,000 (€238,000).

In addition to the salaries, Atlantic Sapphire launched a share incentive program last year as part of its drive to recruit fresh talent into the group.
