Suppliers to retailers are facing a huge range of challenges in the wake of the global coronavirus crisis, from logistics to sourcing plastic packaging, to getting frozen containers home from a re-opening Chinese market, a leading retail industry expert told IntraFish.
Over the past week or so, Ireland-based Malachy O'Connor, a partner at the IPLC international private label consultancy, has spoken with mainly UK and Irish suppliers and held consulations with others in the Italian market "working through the extreme demands of the crisis."
