Suppliers of deepskin Alaska pollock for the McDonald's Filet-o-Fish sandwich are facing a stockpile of product for an indefinite period after the fast-food chain shuttered stores across the United Kingdom and Europe.
McDonald's United Kingdom division closed all 1,270 stores March 23 as the government called on restaurants to close to limit the coronavirus spread. Earlier this month, McDonald's closed its door in the Netherlands, Belgium and France.
