The market value of land-based salmon farmer Atlantic Sapphire took another massive hit on Black Monday, as share prices around the world fell sharply.

Atlantic Sapphire's share price closed the day 15.5 percent lower at NOK 93.40 (€8.50/$9.80) on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

The day-end market capitalization of the group was NOK 6.629 billion (€603.9 million/$692 million), down more than NOK 1.2 billion (€109.3 million/$125.3 million) from its value at Friday's close.

This came a week after Atlantic Sapphire saw $150 million (€131 million) wiped off the company's market value after it announced the loss of 227,000 fish at its Danish operations to a mass mortality event.
