The head of Mowi's Chilean operations said the company is putting its faith in his country's authorities to resolve the issue of restrictions on the company's salmon products entering the Russian market.
"I am hopeful that Chilean authorites will resolve this matter," said Mowi Chile Managing Director Fernando Villarroel.
Russia has been imposing bans on various Chilean salmon producers since the beginning of the year, alleging that their products contain traces of the oxytetracycline antibiotic, something Chile's salmon producers firmly reject.
