South Africa-based Sea Harvest appears to have had a stand-out year, on the back of several large acquisitions, as profit for the group increased by 35 percent to ZAR 395 million (€22.7 million/$25.2 million) in the full year 2019. Revenues also increased by 54 percent to ZAR 4 billion (€229.5 million/$255.1 million).

Revenues in the South African fishing segment increased by 23 percent to ZAR 2.47 billion (€141.7 million/$157.5 million), with thanks to an increase in total allowable catch for hake by 10 percent.
