Norwegian business tycoon Runar Vatne upped his stake in land-based salmon farmer Atlantic Sapphire to 5.19 percent, according to an investor announcement on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

Vatne, who is also a board member in Atlantic Sapphire, acquired an additional 400,000 shares through Vatne Equity for NOK 127.50 each (€12.80/$14.20), in a transaction worth NOK 51 million (€5.1 million/$5.6 million).

Vatne is the principal and owner of Vatne Capital, a family office investing in financial assets and real estate. He also serves as board member of real estate company Solon Eiendom and Self Storage Group.
