Among the biggest challenges for salmon farmers in 2019 was dealing with fish escapes.
In Norway alone, 287,000 salmon escaped in 2019, which was a 44 percent increase from the year prior.
Scotland lost 32,935 salmon through escapes in 2019, according to Scotland's aquaculture.
Figures are estimated as not all companies report escapes, but here's a list of the major disclosed escapes IntraFish reported on over the past 12 months:
