US officials listed salmon fillets and Scotch whiskey imported from Europe as products that could also face tariffs as part of the ongoing EU-US trade dispute, reports BBC .

The World Trade Organization (WTO) gave the United States the OK in October to impose tariffs on $7.5 billion (€6.8 billion) worth of goods imported from the European Union, including some seafood.

The Scottish Salmon Producers Organization (SSPO) expressed disagreement with this decision and called for an early resolution of the dispute.
