Though supply pressure for Norwegian salmon has reduced, volumes remain high and demand is expected to be higher than ever heading into the new year, according to a new report by SpareBank 1 Analyst Thomas Myrholt.

Salmon prices going into next week are up, ranging from NOK 63 (€6.20/$6.90) to NOK 68 (€6.70/$7.40) per kilogram.

Citing periodic double-digit growth in supply into the EU, Myrholt expects, "demand going into 2020 should be at an all-time high," and that the price environment for the first half of next year will remain positive.
