"There is first mover advantage, which means whoever pulls the trigger will be able to merge with the best partners, and I think the first step was just taken," Antarctica Advisors Managing Partner Ignacio Kleiman told IntraFish, referring to Tuesday's news of the sale of fish processor Caladero to multi-national seafood supplier Grupo Profand.
Consolidation is going to make its way through the Spanish sector, Kleiman said, which will also increase its efficiency.
