Norwegian analysts at Sparebank 1 say that while prices are still low, there seems to be more balance in the Norwegian salmon market, with reduced harvest pressure, relating to maximum allowed biomass, and increasing demand from the EU.

There is still a lot of fish coming out of Norway, with exports ending 20 percent up year on year last week.

Spot prices next week are set for the mid NOK 40s (€4/$4.40), up NOK 3-4 (€0.3/$0.33-€0.4/$0.44) per kilo over the past week, said analysts.
