Investment group 8F Asset Management has chosen China as the project receiving the largest portion of its funding for recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) land-based salmon operations, citing high prospects for consumption growth.
"Once you decouple from the sea, you can build anywhere, so naturally you search for areas with high consumption and high density that are importing their salmon," Co-Founder and Partner Martin Fothergill told IntraFish.
