Canadian land-based shrimp farmer Berezan Shrimp Company shut down last week but plans to re-open within the next year, Steve Berezan, the son of company founder, Ralph Berezan, told IntraFish on Wednesday.
The company was raising white shrimp year-round at its closed-containment, recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) farm near Vancouver, BC.
