Russia’s Pella shipyard, located in Saint-Petersburg, on Monday launched the second of four 70-meter groundfish trawlers for Murmansk-based fishing company Murmanseljdj-2.

Andromeda, the first of the four vessels, was launched in April and is scheduled to be delivered by the end of 2019, with the remaining three expected for delivery by 2021.

The new vessel, named the Kastor, is based on design 03095 from Norway’s Cramaco, which was further adapted by the domestic design bureau Forss Marin and Pella design department in order to meet the Russian Register of Shipping requirements.
