Nutreco-owned aquaculture feed giant Skretting launched its new shrimp grower diet in Vietnam last week, but the product hasn't been an easy one to get to market.
The product, Xpand, which expedites digestion of feed, which in turn translates into better growth, the company says, has been four years in the making, Skretting's Global Product Manager for Shrimp Lenaig Breivik told IntraFish.
"We have been working on a formulation to improve the overall nutrient utilization by the shrimp, which would lead to better growth," Breivik said.
