Grieg Seafood will assess strategic alternatives for its operations on the Isle of Skye in Scotland in the coming months, including the possibility of a sale or a joint venture.

The majority of Grieg Seafood’s production in the United Kingdom is in Shetland, but the company also has five farms on the Isle of Skye, which produce between 4,000 to 6,000 metric tons per year.

"Shetland and Skye are far away from each other," Greig Global Communications Manager Kristina Furnes told IntraFish.
