Nutreco-owned aquaculture feed giant producer Skretting is making major strides towards including novel ingredients in its quest to sustainably supply feed, but remains cautious about how and when these ingredients will make a major impact.
The company highlighted its efforts on feed alternatives and other improvements to its supply chain in its annual sustainability report, which charted the successes and challenges over the past year.
Skretting now sells feed with algae oil, and is far along in the process of commercializing insect-based feed.
